Hi guys, finally the campaign starts tomorrow and im giving my avenger the final tune ups... first, i want to clarify that im not intending to do an uber min maxing avenger... rather ive tried to have an equilibrium on the usefulness/coolness rating factor as in i wanna kill things but look cool doing it :P so im posting to see if i left some "OMG ARE YOU CRAZY YOU HAVE TO HAVE THAT" thingy out...

Race: Shadar-kai
Class: Avenger
Deity/alignment: Neutral - the raven queen
Build: Retribution
PP: Zealous Assasin
EP: Darklord (for rolplaying reasons im inclined to Raven queen consort, but i find it a very weak, combat wise, epic destiny, it doesn't even has a revive ability... i would like feedback on that)

Ability scores post race mod (dice roll):

Str : 13
Con: 16
Dex: 11
Int : 18
Wis: 20
Cha: 9

So the general theme here is a porting-isolating holy/necrotic warrior :P

Looks like fun. The one feat that seems to be a bit less than ideal is Pervasive Gloom - I might have taken In Death, Life at that point (In Death, Life might even be worth taking as early as Level 1) and then taken another Paragon feat at level 20 (such as Dragonbane or Abjure the Unclean, for example). That Gloom seems to affect you and your allies, which makes it less useful, and also reminds me too much of the Drow.

oh cool imputs bro, ehm lets see, i was checking the PH1 and close burst rules says it does not apply to me... and yes i wanted to take in death, life but just 2 lvls after i take Zealous assasing PP, so i could really use the encounter heavily obscure to make a hide check according to the new rules in PH2, thats why i thought it was a good choice there, after that i just need concealment or cover and i remain unseen ( *wierd shadowy voice * im batman)

Thxs for the input, i had to check what the hell was that feat doing there XD
any other input will be appreciated...

You are safe from effects of the burst, but your square is within the zone. Since this burst has no effect other than to create a zone, it affects you as much as anyone else. Compare this with the Drow Racial Power Cloud of Darkness, which includes the phrase "you are immune to these effects". I'm not saying that Pervasive Gloom is useless, but it's very situational. You might consider the Level 2 Utility Silver Shadow for your concealment.

Well i was just rechecking stuff and i wanted to put this here for reference

as you can see, its a free action after i atk an enemy until the start of my next turn, so, up the top of my head this is the combo im thinking to satisfy my rogue/assassin wannabe needs:

I can attack my OoET, activate the dark zone, move to any darkened square not adjacent to him and make a stealth check to become hidden (mayor defense bonus, not to mention he has to guess where i am now to try and attack me) finally with my minor i can activate silver shadow and i remain hidden for ever XD

Or at least thats what i think, correct me if im making some mistake around :P

PS: is there any other method to have retain concealment/cover that isnt a daily power? because otherwise i can only do this once a day and that way it isn't that cool. And i mean not terrain wise but items/powers/etc

Is it better to keep high Con, Wis and Dex, or just higher Con and Wis + some improving AC feats (maybe chainmail or Hide Armour Expertise or something)?
