 Street date
With PHB3 and Hammerfast it looks like WotC is relaxing Street Date restrictions for ther Friendly Local Gaming Store (FLGS if you like) to give them a way to compete with Amazon and the like. I know in the Columbus area the Guard Tower had their PHB3 in Friday the 12th while other places have reported up to a week before that depending on where they are.
something to look into for those who want the print-books

 Re: Street date
...and everyone I know already got a copy last week from their FLGS.
And all of them have really crappy binding jobs. The one my DM has already had a dozen pages fall out.

 Re: Street date
So far I've only lost a few pages in Adventurer's Vault 1, though the ink in PH1 wasn't very friendly.
my PH3 does seem to have a problem with the binding in the back, it doesn't seem straight, but i've not taken much of a look at it.
I hope they keep the early-release to the FLGS but I also want them to put out a book that wont fall part when we use it...

 Re: Street date
Looks like Hammerfast was bumped way up, too. I thought that one wasn't out until April! I'm actually almost as curious to read that as I am PHB3, because I really like some of the stuff they've done with the "built in" world of DnD4.

 Re: Street date
My ink problem was with MM1. I was eating popcorn (oil popped), and the ink started smudging under my fingers.
