Ravenloft. Makes sense as they already have a playable vampire class. Its a striker and has really low surge count, but can feed on others to gain temp HP and more surges.

Not a big fan of the whole vampire/werewolf thing myself but I did like the original Ravenloft module. Add in some horror, ala Lovecraft, and you could have a great time, however.

Regarding Dragonlance, I wouldn't mind that world done up for 4e but I wouldn't play with any Kender. We did that back in the day of AD&D & we wanted to strangle the Kender, Mr. Lightfingers, in the party. They are definitely a race that works better as an NPC, in my experience anyway.

I kind of agree with the Kender point, but then again... I saw a guy play a reasonable Jawa in a Star Wars game, so I think it depends a lot on the group you're playing with.

4e Halflings are, to me, almost indistinguishable from Kender...

Besides the Neverwinter material coming out, it seems like the emphasis is on what I call the World of Fallcrest. It's been steadily growing far beyond its initial "vanilla default" status, and is expanded this month not only by the Nentir Vale material but by the board game which may hope to do for Nerath what Risk did for Kamchatka.

I agree that it definitely depends on the group you're playing with. I just found Kender, if you played them like Tasslehoff, there would be conflict. He was crucial to the series but his actions would be more annoying than plot driving with a PC; as opposed to a NPC.

Jawas were just scavengers and reminded me of used car salesmen when they tried to pawn off that red R2 on Uncle Owen & Luke. :)

Hobbits now, yes hobbits, don't have to be annoying like Kender, although they often were. I played a hobbit monk in AD&D & had a blast.

They're not talking about any hardcover supplements there, just the ongoing adventure in Dungeon. Still, it's nice to ask for input.

Yeah, they aren't asking for input on their next support campaign setting.

The point was merely that they were asking about campaign worlds, but yes it is nice to see!

:P

I voted Krynn, but I was also disappointed when they dropped the Nentir Vale Gazetteer project. Well, I think they did. I assume that "Threats of the Nentir Vale" is as close as we'll get.

Anyone else vote?
