This free article is the Essentials-style write-up for the PH1 Fighter, with no mechanical changes. A bit more errata here than what we saw on the Warlord (Marshall)

The changes to come and get it are going to make our party's fighter cry.

We can only hope that Twin-Strike gets something similar in the Ranger article, when (if) it comes out.

At least Come & Get It is now a Weapon attack vs Will.

This will be one errata that I will ask my DM to ignore.

Didn't know the power was broken.

Indeed. Definitely softened the blow, being when I'm surrounded, its usually not by a bunch of intellectuals. ;)

One thing I do find kinda odd is simply calling the class "Weapon Master". Sounds very Strikery, not Defendery, even more so than "Fighter".

My question is simply whether or not Come & Get It needed this change. Was it so out of balance? Just curious as the only reason given, that I have found, was that it had become the de facto choice for fight...err...'weapon masters' at 7th level.

Just wondering.

Also, what exactly is wrong with Twin Strike?

 You're kidding, right? :ugeek:

The most overpowered at-will in the game, according to charop and everyone else.

The at-will that, if a Ranger doesn't take it, you'll likely get laughed out of town?

No. There's nothing wrong with it. It's perfectly balanced and is in no way overpowered.

So if they made it an encounter or daily you would'v been OK with it then?

Just curious as it's never been an issue in the games I play. My eladrin two blade ranger has to wade into combat to use the at will and since she only can wear hide/leather, she is an easier target than others in the melee. I thought that was the balance for a power like that?

Also, I wasn't kidding just wanted to understand the logic behind WoTC's decision to nerf or not to nerf certain powers. Would've liked a simple answer, maybe even an example showing why you consider it so overpowered; but without the side order of snark.

I don't play as much as others nor do I worry about was is or isn't broken in the game. I just play with my friends to have fun. :)
